Attorney Richard L. Magill, partner at Heller, Maas, Moro & Magill Co., LPA. in Youngstown, has been appointed as section chair of the Ohio Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section. This will be his second one-year term in the position. Section chairs are appointed by the president of the Ohio Bar Association.
Mr. Magill’s legal career began in 1987. Since day one, he has focused on helping injured workers. Prior to law school, he worked at a local mill where he saw firsthand the challenges workers often face after being hurt at work. Over the past 35 years, he has been committed to helping injured workers overcome those challenges and getting the workers’ compensation benefits they need. His dedication to this work and the depth of knowledge he has accumulated during the course of his career make him a natural fit to lead the Workers’ Compensation Law Section.
The Ohio Bar Association was founded in 1880 and has been serving the state’s legal community ever since. The bar association features 27 committees and 14 sections, each dedicated to a specific area of the law or a subsection of lawyers. The Workers’ Compensation Law Section’s objective is to offer a “forum for legal professionals interested in regulatory, legislative and judicial matters related to workers’ compensation law.”
Mr. Magill’s appointment to this leadership position is an honor for the firm and a reflection of Mr. Magill’s esteemed position among his peers in the Ohio legal community.
